Immigration museums often raise revenue to help maintain their collections by charging migrants up to $200 to have their name inscribed on a Welcome Wall or Tribute Wall.
We were tempted to charge a £10 registration fee on Tenpoundpom.com (in keeping with the name) but realised this was not the right way to go. We decided that we wanted to make our version of the Welcome Wall free so that visitors of all ages and nationalities have the opportunity to preserve their own special history, learn, share and enjoy our website.
